Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Opportunity Miner, operated by Goyboy Tech, handles information when the application is used.
1. Information processed
Depending on the features enabled by the user, Opportunity Miner may process:
- Google Ads authorization information required to make authorized Google Ads API requests.
- Keyword-planning and advertising metrics returned by the Google Ads API, including search-volume, competition and bid-range data.
- Publicly available information about software products, browser extensions, pricing, reviews and websites used for market research.
- Research settings, candidate ideas, scores and locally generated reports.
2. How Google user data is used
Google user data is accessed only when a user explicitly authorizes Opportunity Miner to access their Google Ads account. Google Ads data is used solely to provide keyword and market-research functionality requested by the user.
Opportunity Miner does not sell Google user data and does not use Google user data for advertising.
3. Storage
The current version of Opportunity Miner is designed to run locally. Research results are stored locally on the user's device in application files and a local SQLite database. Google Ads credentials are configured by the user on their own device and are not published on this website.
4. Third-party services
Opportunity Miner may communicate with third-party services selected and configured by the user, such as the Google Ads API, public web-search services and optional AI services. Those services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Data sharing
Goyboy Tech does not sell personal information. Information is shared with third-party service providers only when necessary to provide a feature explicitly configured or requested by the user.
6. Data retention and deletion
Because the current application runs locally, the user controls the locally stored research database, exported files and credentials. The user can delete those local files at any time. Google account access can also be revoked through the user's Google Account security settings.
7. Security
Users are responsible for keeping their local credentials and device secure. Opportunity Miner is under active development, and users should avoid sharing OAuth secrets, refresh tokens or API credentials publicly.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the application's functionality or data-handling practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
9. Contact
Privacy or data-use questions can be sent to the developer contact address listed on the Opportunity Miner Google OAuth consent screen.
Opportunity Miner's use of information received from Google APIs will comply with applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements.
